Hola una vez más.

In the following link you can see our next national and foreign Birds and Mammals photographic and observation trips. I hope you like them and I encourage you to come with me. An experience that you will not forget.

In this post I show you the photos that I was able to take on two visits to the Cabaneros National Park to photograph the Red Deer Rut. The first of them was scheduled for September 25 and the second a private visit for 4 people on the 30th of the same month.

In both cases weather was good although in the first it was foggy until late in the morning.

VISITA DEL 25 DE SEPTIEMBRE:
VISIT ON SEPTEMBER 25:

Already very close to the National Park, we could spot several juvenile Spanish Imperial Eagles and this Black-shouldered KiteUnfortunately I could not take any photos of the first mentioned.

As the private visit to the National Park was at 5:30 pm. we first visited several areas of this beautiful Park in search of Birds and we could already see and hear the first deer. In the photo a beautiful male of Blue Rock Thrush.

In addition, we were able to observe several more birds, but when passing quite a distance, I did not take photos of them.

After lunch, we took a walk and at 5:30 a.m. we got on the jeep of Visit Cabañeros, which is the company that carries out the tours of the Park. In this case it is a private trip especially for taking photographs. Only a maximum of 6 people can go in it.

Before I went, I imagined that we were going to have a very good day of photography as the weather forecasts predicted maximum of 21º Celsius and clear skies.

Un gran ciervo.
A beautiful Stag.

As it is not hot, there was no refraction which makes the photos sharper. Right away we were able to photograph the first bellows.

The number of Red Deer that live in the Park is awesome.

It always strikes me how suspicious they are because, despite seeing the jeeps several times every day, they flee as soon as you approach to them.

This year it was noticeable that Deer had had food during the summer as they were fat.

Un grupo de hembras.
A herd of hinds.

Que iban acompañadas por este impresionante macho.
That they were accompanied by this impressive stag.

As you can see, the rut was in full swing. Roars are hard to forget.

Una hembra con su cría.
A hind with her fawn.

Espectacular.
Spectacular.

Fue un día inolvidable.
It was an unforgettable day.

VISITA DEL 30 DE SEPTIEMBRE:
VISIT ON SEPTEMBER 30:

Weather was much better as we had no fog in the morning but none of the Blue Rock Thrush didn't want to get as close as the day before.

I was able to take a video of him with the mobile phone attached to the spotting scope.

This day was much hotter, 25º Celsius and rut started later but very good and for that I show you the photos that we were able to take.

Magnífico ejemplar.
Beautiful stag.

This was the closest male to us.

He was withdrawn from females and already more concerned with feeding on acorns.

As there were no more left on the ground, he raised himself on his hindquarters and shook the acorns.

However, between meals he was rutting.

Otro bonito macho.
Another beautiful stag.

And when it was getting dark, some males got into a fight. It was a pity that they had not been closer and there had been more light.

Sunsets inside the Park listening to the roaring of the Red Deer are unforgettable.
