PAJAREANDO POR ESPAÑA. BIRDWATCHING SPAIN.


Hola de nuevo.
Hi again.

Como os comenté en mi anterior blog voy a seguir mostrándoos algunas de las aves que vimos en nuestro viaje de 5 días por Andalucía.
As I mentioned in my previous blog I will continue showing you some of the birds we saw on our 5 day tour to Andalusia.

CUARTO DÍA: ALREDEDORES DE MALAGA.
FOURTH DAY: SURROUNDINGS OF MALAGA.


Garza real (Ardea cinerea).
Grey Heron.


Joven de garza imperial (Ardea purpurea).
Juvenile of Purple Heron.


Pareja de ánade friso (Anas strepera).
Pair of Gadwalls.


Malvasía cabeciblanca (Oxyura leucocephala).
White-headed Duck.



Focha común (Fulica atra).
Common Coot.


Zampullín común (Tachybaptus ruficollis).
Little Grebe.


Vimos y disfrutamos mucho con varios martines pescadores (Alcedo atthis).
We saw and enjoyed with several Common kingfishers.



Lo mismo nos ocurrió con esta bella ave, el calamón común (Porphyrio porphyrio). No deja de sorprenderme como utilizan las patas para ayudarse cuando se alimentan.
The same thing happened to us with this beautiful bird, the Purple Swamphen. I'm always surprised how they use their legs to help when feeding.





Cernícalo vulgar (Falco tinnunculus).
Common Kestrel.


También pudimos observar como esta águila pescadora (Pandion haliaetus) pescó un pez y se poso en esta rama permaneciendo allí todo el rato de nuestra visita.
We also saw as this Osprey caught a fish and perched on this branch remained there all the time of our visit.


Había cinco ostreros euroasiáticos (Haematopus ostralegus).
There were five Eurasian Oystercatcher.





Aguilucho lagunero occidental (Circus aeruginosus).
Eurasian Marsh Harrier.


Andaríos chicos (Actitis hypoleucos).
Common Sandpiper.


Una preciosa garza real (Ardea cinerea).
A beautiful Grey Heron.


Había dos gaviotas de Audouin (Larus audouinii). Esta portaba anilla número AZYY. La anilla estaba situada demasiado abajo de la pata y hacía que la gaviota cojease.
There were two Audouin's gulls (Larus audouinii). This was carrying a ring number AZYY. The ring was located too far down the leg and made the Seagull were limping.

Tarro blanco (Tadorna tadorna).
Common Shelduck.


Esta águila calzada fase blanca (Aquila pennata) estaba de caza por la laguna.
This white phase Booted Eagle was hunting around the lagoon.


Esta garza real (Ardea cinerea) se molestó y consiguió echarla de su posadero.
This Grey Heron got upset and got it out of its perch.


Y se volvió a posar no muy lejos. Bonito ejemplar.
And it returned to perch not far away. Nice specimen.


Chorlitejo Chico (Charadrius dubius).
Little Ringed Plover.


En una de las lagunas había diecisiete garzas reales (Ardea cinerea).
In one of the lagoons were seventeen Gray Herons.


Cormorán grade (Phalacrocorax carbo).
Great Cormorant.


Después nos acercamos a la playa y nos encontramos con bastantes vuelvepiedras comunes (Arenaria interpres).
Then we approached to the beach and we found several Turnstones.

Chorlitejo grande (Charadrius hiaticula) entre chorlitejos patinegros (Charadrius alexandrinus).

QUINTO DIA: ALREDEDORES DE DOÑANA.
FIFTH DAY: SURROUNDINGS OF DOÑANA.


Garcilla bueyera (Bubulcus ibis).
Cattle Egret.


Había gran cantidad de moritos comunes (Plegadis falcinellus).
There were lots of Glossy Ibises.






También se podían ver cigüeñuelas comunes (Himantopus himantopus) y algunos combatientes (Philomachus pugnax).
You could also see Black-winged Stilts and some Ruffs.

Avefrías europeas (Vanellus vanellus).
Northern Lapwings.


Garcilla bueyera (Bubulcus ibis).
Cattle Egret.


Collalba gris (Oenanthe oenanthe).
Northern Wheatear.



Espátula común (Platalea leucorodia).
Eurasian Spoonbill.



Este campo estaba sembrado de cigüeñas blancas (Ciconia ciconia). Imposible calcular las que había pero eran muchas.
This field was littered with White Storks. Impossible to calculate but there were many.



Un vuelvepiedras común (Arenaria interpres) entre chorlitejos grandes (Charadrius hiaticula).

Vimos algunas cigüeñas negras (Ciconia nigra) pero esta era la más confiada.
We saw some Black Storks but this was the most confident.



Bonita, ¿no es cierto?
Pretty, isn't it?


También se veían aguiluchos laguneros occidentales (Circus aeruginosus).
Eurasian Marsh Harriers were also seen.


Y algunas aves invasoras como es el caso de este tejedor amarillo (Euplectes afer).
And some invading birds such as this Yellow-crowned bishop.




Garceta grande (Egretta alba).
Great White Egret.




Y al ver a estas cigüeñas blancas (Ciconia ciconia) tomando altura para continuar con su migración nosotros decidimos hacer lo mismo y regresar a Madrid que aún nos quedaba un largo viaje.
And seeing these White Storks taking altitude to continue their migration we decided to do the same and return to Madrid because we still had a long journey.
