Hola de nuevo.
Hi again.

This time I show you some photos I took in a morning walk at the Casa de Campo. The target of the walk was to take some photos of the Crested Tit that I like and are not easy to photograph.

You can also photograph other species of Tits with ease.

The star of this post is the Crested Tit. Beautiful Bird.

But the beauty of the Blue Tit can not be ignored either.

And what about the Lon-tailed Tits? Another beauty as well.

This one, the Great Tit, is less striking in my opinion.

Herrerillo capuchino (Lophophanes cristatus) otra vez.
Crested Tit once more.

Also appeared some European Nuthatch.

The kindness face of the Long-tailed Tits always strikes me.

Y el prota de nuevo.
And the star again.

Herrerillo común (Cyanistes caeruleus).
Blue Tit.

También había bastantes petirrojos europeos (Erithacus rubecula).
There were also many European Robins.

Y gorriones molineros (Passer montanus).
And Eurasian Tree Sparrow.

Pico picapinos (Dendrocopos major).
Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Pinzón vulgar (Fringilla coelebs).
Common Chaffinch.

Mosquitero común (Phylloscopus collybita).
Common Chiffchaff.

This was the Blue Tit which showed a more intense coloration.

Macho de pito real (Picus viridis sharpei).
Male of European Green Woodpecker.

Trepador azul (Sitta europaea).
European Nuthatch.

At this time of year it is possible to contemplate the awesome heat of the Spanish Ibex. This subspecies is the one that is distributed by different places of the Iberian Central System.

To that matter we went to Avila to see if we could see any struggle between males. Luck was on our side and we could see a fierce fight of two males for almost an hour. A show that wiil be never forgotten.

Also the weather was very good and as we saw a fight quite early we decided to go to see if we could spot a Long-legged Buzzard which had been observed in several times not far from where we were. The day was round because we could also see this rare bird in the peninsula. For me it was the first time I saw and photographed it.

When I got up early and saw that a lot of light was coming in I remembered that the previous day had been the Bigmoon and I take this photo.

On the way we saw several Common Buzzards.

Y varios escribanos trigueros (Miliaria calandra).
And several Corn Buntings.

Antes de comenzar a subir a la montaña vimos varios escribanos montesinos (Emberiza cia).
Before starting to climb the mountain we saw several Rock Buntings.

Buitre leonado (Gyps fulvus).
Griffon Vulture.

Enseguida empezamos a ver las cabras montesas (Capra pyrenaica victoriae).
Soon we began to see Spanish Ibexes.

Impresionantes machos.
Awesome males.

As expected love was in the air. The blue color of his tongue always strikes me.

This juvenile will have to wait some years until he become to be an adult male.

No sabría decir cual me gustó más. Vimos muchos machos impresionantes.
I couldn't say which I liked most. We saw many awesome males.

Another herd crossed a stream.

Así es fácil rascarse.
This way it is easy to scratch.

Females were very sweet with their calves.

Algunos continuaban mamando.
Some continued to suck.

Precioso.
Lovely.

As I told you at the beginning we saw a fight but I decided to leave it for the end so those who do not like Spanish Ibexes do not need to go all the way to see the Long-legged Buzzard.

También vimos varios buitres negros (Aegypius monachus).
We also saw several Black Vultures.

At our destination we saw up to three difernet Common Buzzards but at that moment we were missing the Long-legged Buzzard. What a strain.

We saw this one hunting a Rat.

No consiguió cazar ninguno.
And this Eurasian Sparrowhawk chasing House Sparrows that protected themselves in the Cypresses. He could not catch any.

When we saw this ultralight helicopter overflying the area where the Lon-legged Buzzard had been previously sighted, it was half an hour overflying it, our expectations were greatly reduced.

But we decided to go once more time around the area and the surprise came immediately because it was perched very close to the road. We were very lucky.

Preciosa ave rapaz.
Beautiful Bird of Prey.

And wile coming back to Madrid with a good taste of the wonderful day we passed I decided to go trough La Moraña to see if we could see some Great Bustards and we saw them too.

And also a Red Kite roosting place.

Returning to the fight of Spanish Ibexes this male was preparing for it.

Midiendo fuerzas.
Measuring power.

Preparándose.
Getting ready.

Comienzan las peleas.
The fights begin.

El ruido de los topetazos era increible.
Noise from the bumps was unbelievable.

Un pequeño respiro antes de continuar.
A little breath before to go on.

When they were resting you could hear their fast breathing.

After almost an hour the fight ended and males went to another place. For those of you who have not get bored of watching so much fighting I have left a video so you can see the speed and strength of the combat.

Hasta pronto.
See you soon.
