Esta semana os muestro algunas de las aves que vimos en dos viajes a Extremadura, uno de un día y el otro de dos.
This week I show you some of the Birds we saw on two trips to Extremadura. The first one of a day and the second of two days.

El primero de ellos fue exclusivamente al Parque Nacional de Monfragüe mientras que en el segundo además del Parque visitamos Arrocampo y el valle del Tiétar.
The first one was exclusively to the National Park of Monfragüe while in the second in addition to the Park we visited Arrocampo and Tiétar Valley.

Como se puede apreciar en las fotos que os muestro, durante el primer viaje tuvimos un tiempo muy bueno mientras que en el segundo el tiempo fue regular incluso en Monfragüe nos llovió parte de la mañana.
As you can see in the photos that I show you, during the first trip we had a very good day while in the second the weather was not so good even in Monfragüe it rained part of the morning.

Vimos bastantes grullas comunes (Grus grus) antes de la entrada del Parque.
We saw quite a few Common Cranes before we reach the Park.





Y un gran bando de gorriones chillones (Petronia petronia).
And a big flock of Rock Sparrows.



Águila Real (Aquila chrysaetos).
Golden Eagle.



Buitre negro (Aegypius monachus).
Black Vulture.





Los buitres leonados (Gyps fulvus) estaban arreglando sus nidos ante el inminente nacimiento de sus pollos.
Griffon Vultures were arranging their nests before the imminent hatch of their chicks.







Halcón peregrino (Falco peregrinus).
Peregrine Falcon.




Curruca capirotada (Sylvia atricapillamacho.
Male of Blackcap.



Hembra.
Female.



Hembra de pinzón vulgar (Fringilla coelebs).
Female of Common Chaffinch.



Herrerillo común (Cyanistes caeruleus).
Blue Tit.



Los buitres negros (Aegypius monachusestaban preparando sus nidos para comenzar su reproducción. Son más tardíos que los leonados (Gyps fulvus).
Black Vultures were preparing their nests to begin their reproduction. They start later than Griffons.



Macho de roquero solitario (Monticola solitarius).
Male of Blue Rock Thrush.



Y este era el objetivo principal de este viaje, las águilas perdiceras (Aquila fasciata).
And this was the main target of this trip, the Bonelli's Eagles.



Vimos varios picados impresionantes.
We saw several awesome dives.




Impresionantes aves. Es una pena que estén en declive.
Breathtaking birds. It's a shame that population is decreasing.




Hembra de ciervo común (Cervus elaphus).
Hind of Red Deer.



Joven.
Juvenile.



Cernícalo vulgar (Falco tinnunculus) macho.
Male of Common Kestrel.



Pareja de águilas imperiales ibéricas (Aquila adalberti).
A pair of Spanish Imperial Eagles.

Segúndo viaje:
Second trip:



Que mejor cosa que comenzar el día oyendo el bonito trino del zorzal común (Turdus philomelos).
What a better thing that to start the day listening to the nice trill of Song Thrush.



Águila imperial ibérica (Aquila adalberti).
Spanish Imperial Eagle.




Son bastante más pequeñas que los buitres leonados (Gyps fulvus).
They are much smaller than Griffon Vultures.

Este año han cambiado el nido de lugar y se las puede ver mejor.
This year they have changed the nesting place and they can be seen better.



Impresionantes.
Awesome.




Garza real (Ardea cinerea).
Grey Heron.



Hembra de ciervo común (Cervus elaphus).
Hind of Red Deer.



Un siluro (Silurus glanis). Especie invasora.
A European Catfish. Invasive Specie.



Macho de roquero solitario (Monticola solitarius).
Male of Blue Rock Thrush.



Lo mejor después de un buen chaparrón es secar las plumas al sol.
The best after a good rain shower is drying feathers in the sun.



Águila perdicera (Aquila fasciata).
Bonelli's Eagle.




La lluvia hizo que esta vez se movieran menos.
Rain caused that Bonelli's Eagles were less active this time.


De todos modos las vimos muy cerca.
Nevertheless we saw them very close.



Chochín común (Troglodytes troglodytes).
Winter Wren.



Escribano montesino (Emberiza cia).
Rock Bunting.




Buitres negros (Aegypius monachusy leonados (Gyps fulvus).
Black and Griffon Vultures.



Herrerillo común (Cyanistes caeruleus).
Blue Tit.



Cuervo (Corvus corax).
Common Raven.

Elanio común (Elanus caeruleus).
Black-shouldered Kite.



Que elegantes son.
They are very elegant .



Cigüeña blanca (Ciconia ciconia).
White Stork.




Una pareja de patos colorados (Netta rufina).
A pair of Red-crested Pochard.




Ánsares comunes (Anser anser).
Greylag Geese.



Macho de gorrión moruno (Passer hispaniolensis).
Male of Spanish Sparrow.



Hembra.
Female.



Hembra de tarabilla europea (Saxicola rubicola).
Femañe of Common Stonechat.



Buitre leonado (Gyps fulvus).
Griffon Vulture.



Buitre negro (Aegypius monachus).
Black Vulture.



Calamón Común (Porphyrio porphyrio).
Purple Swamp-hen.

Un grupo de silbones europeos (Anas penelope).
A flock of Eurasian Wigeon.



Alcaudón real meridional (Lanius meridionalis).
Southern Grey Shrike.



Abubilla Común (Upupa epops).
Eurasian Hoopoe.



Escribano triguero (Miliaria calandra).
Corn Bunting.



Esmerejón (Falco columbarius).
Merlin.



También vinos tres gangas ortegas (Pterocles orientalis).
We also saw three Black-bellied Sandgrouses.



Y las grullas comunes (Grus grus) ya se estaban agrupando para su migracion pre-nupcial.
And Common Cranes were already grouping together for their pre-nuptial migration.





Muy pronto ya se marcharán a sus lugares de cría y tendremos que esperar hasta la próximo otoño para seguir disfrutando de su presencia.
Soon they will go to their breeding places and we will have to wait until next fall to continue enjoying with their presence.
