In the following link you can see our next national and foreign Birds and Mammals photographic and observation trips. I hope you like them and I encourage you to come with me. An experience that you will not forget.

First of all, I would like to thank you for your visits to the blog as I have already exceeded 400,000 visits. Thank you very much.

This time I show you what we could see on our organized trip to Picos de Europa from July 9 to 11, as I make it coincide with the new moon to be able to observe and, where appropriate, photograph the Milky Way at night.

The weather was great during the three days of the visit.

DIA 9:
DAY 9 th:

At noon we arrived at Piedrasluengas Pass. From it we could see our destiny for the next three days. The day couldn't be better, not a single cloud.

At Fuente Dé, we took the cable car to go up to the alpine floor and begin our search for the alpine species that was the main target of our trip.

Que sitio tan bonito, siempre me impresiona.
What a beautiful place, it always impresses me.

Shortly after starting our walk around the place, this juvenile Peregrine Falcon flew over us.

We also saw the first Common Linnet that are so abundant in Picos. In the photo a male.

And immediately afterwards, a pair of Snowfinch came to collect insects for their chiks.

As we sat down to eat, Yellow-billed Chough appeared. This one in particular was very cheeky and didn't get into our backpack because we didn't let it.

This year Birds had bred earlier than last year as many juvenile could already be seen. In the photo a juvenile Alpine Accentor

Iban muchos juntos.
We waited a long time to see if we could spot Wallcreeper but it did not appear. However, when we decided to go to the Hotel, we were surrounded by several families of Snowfinch that were already going with their chicks of the year in search of food. They were many together.

On this occasion, nobody of those who came wanted to take a night photo and I did not bring the wide angle but I put one of the ones I took last year. It is spectacular how the sky looks at night as there is no light pollution and being at an altitude of 1,700 meters.
