Grandes rapaces de la Sierra Suroeste de Madrid. Large Raptors of Southwest of Madrid.

Esta vez os muestro algunas de las aves que vimos en varios viajes a la Sierra Suroeste de la Comunidad de Madrid.
This time I show you some of the birds we saw on several trips to the Southwest mountain range of Madrid.

En todas las ocasiones pudimos contemplar a los buitres negros (Aegypius monachusy leonados (Gyps fulvus), águilas reales (Aquila chrysaetos) y a las águilas imperiales ibéricas (Aquila adalberti).
On all occasions we could see Black and Griffon Vultures, Golden Eagles and Spanish Imperial Eagles.

El tiempo fue muy bueno pero hizo demasiado calor para la época del año en la que fuimos.
The weather was very good but it was too hot for the time of year we went.



Macho de gavilán común (Accipiter nisus).
Male of Eurasian Sparrowhawk.



Azor común (Accipiter gentilis).
Northern Goshawk.



Macho de libélula de flecha roja (Sympetrum sanguineum).
Male of Ruddy Darter.

Female.



Joven de águila real (Aquila chrysaetos).
Juvenile of Golden Eagle.

El joven pidiendo comida a su madre. Por su gran tamaño creo que es una hembra.
The juvenile begging for food to her mother. Because of its large size I think is a female.

Cerceta común (Anas crecca).
Common Teal.



Macho de ánade azulón (Anas platyrhynchosen plena muda a plumaje de invierno.
Male Mallard molting to winter plumage.



Había muchas golondrinas dáuricas (Hirundo daurica).
There were many Red-rumped Swallow.



Y también vimos bastantes rabilargos ibéricos (Cyanopica cookii).
And we also saw many Azure-winged Magpies.



Algunas de ellos estaban comiendo avispas.
Some of them were eating wasps.





La luna salió muy temprano.
Moon rose very early.



Buitre negro (Aegypius monachus).
Black Vulture.




Buitre leonado (Gyps fulvus).
Griffon Vulture.

Vimos bastantes águilas imperiales ibéricas (Aquila adalberti) y de distintas edades. En la foto un joven.
We saw many Spanish Imperial Eagles and of different ages. The photo shows a juvenile.





En una ocasión vimos tres ejemplares juntos. En la foto dos jóvenes que compartían cielo con un subadulto. 
On one occasion we saw three specimens together. In the picture two juveniles who shared sky with a subadult.

Arrendajo euroasiático (Garrulus glandarius).
Eurasian Jay.



Había muchos aviones roqueros (Ptyonoprogne rupestris e incluso una pareja tenía pollos en su nido.
There were many Grag Martins and even a pair had chicks in its nest.




Roquero solitario (Monticola solitarius) macho.
Male of Blue Rock Thrush.



Trepador azul (Sitta europaea).
European Nuthatch.



Fue toda una sorpresa ver este inmaduro de águila perdicera (Aquila fasciata).
It was great to see this immature of Bonelli's Eagle. 



Agateador europeo (Certhia brachydactyla).
Short-toed Treecreeper.



Macho de colirrojo tizón (Phoenicurus ochruros).
Male of Black Redstart.



Una pareja de alcotanes europeos (Falco subbuteo).
A pair of Hobbies.




Papamoscas cerrojillo (Ficedula hypoleuca).
Pied Flycatcher.



Águila calzada (Aquila pennata) morfo claro.
Booted Eagle pale morph.



Mito (Aegithalus caudatus).
Long-tailed Tit.



Y con estas imágenes de una culebrera europea (Circaetus gallicus) con su presa preferida, una culebra, me despido de todos vosotros hasta la próxima entrada.
