Hello again.

Esta semana os muestro algunas de las aves que pudimos observar durante un viaje a algunas lagunas Manchegas. El objetivo era ver, principalmente, cuatro especies: porrones pardos, pechiazules, bigotudos y escribanos palustres. Vimos tres de ellas pero el pechiazul no hizo acto de presencia. 

This week I show you some of the birds that we could observe during a trip to some Wetlands of La Mancha. The objective was to spot four species: Ferruginous Ducks, Bluethroats, Bearded Tits and Reed Buntings. We saw three of them but the Bluethroat did not show up.

El tiempo fue bueno pero enseguida se levantó bastante viento lo que dificulto le avistamiento de los bigotudos.

The weather was good but soon it got quite windy which made difficult to sighting Bearded Tits.

Cerceta común (Anas crecca).

Common Teal.

Joven de curruca rabilarga (Sylvia undata).

Juvenile of Dartford Warbler.

Hembra de escribano palustre (Emberiza schoeniclus).

Female of Reed Bunting.

Vimos bastantes aguiluchos laguneros occidentales (Circus aeruginosus). 

We saw quite a few Eurasian Marsh Harriers.

Grajilla occidental (Corvus monedula).

Western Jackdaw.

En la foto tres archibebes el primero oscuro (Tringa erythropus) y los dos de atrás claros (Tringa nebularia).

The photo shows in the right a Spotted Redshank and the other two are Greenshanks.

Una agradable sorpresa. Un numerosísimo bando de patos colorados (Netta rufina). 

A nice surprise. A very large flock of Red-crested Pochard.

Pocas veces he visto semejante concentración.

I have seldom seen such concentration.

Los alcaravanes comunes (Burhinus oedicnemus) no estaban donde de costumbre pero al final dimos con ellos.

Stone-curlew weren't where they usually stay but at the end we faund them.

Greylag Goose.

Silbón Europeo (Anas penelope).

Eurasian Wigeon.

Ánades rabudos (Anas acuta).

Gavilán común (Accipiter nisus).

Eurasian Sparrowhawk.

Macho de gorrión moruno (Passer hispaniolensis).

Fumarel cariblanco (Chlidonias hybrida).

Whiskered Tern.

Macho de malvasía cabeciblanca (Oxyura leucocephala).

Porrones europeos (Aythya ferina) tres macho e igual número de hembras.

El que comienza a bucear es un zampullín cuellinegro (Podiceps nigricollis).

Me encanta el color de sus ojos.

Había muchas gaviotas sombrías (Larus fuscus).

There were many Lesser Black-backed Gulls.

Flamenco común (Phoenicopterus ruber) anillado con el número ISTA.

Greater Flamingo ringed with ISTA number.

Éste era el más coloreado.

This was the most pink color.
