In the following link you can see our next national and foreign Birds and Mammals photographic and observation trips. I hope you like them and I encourage you to come with me. An experience that you will not forget.

This time I show you some photos that I was able to take on an excursion to the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park.

El objetivo principal era fotografiar a los piquituertos comunes (Loxia curvirostra), verderón serrano (Serinus citrinella) y mirlo acuático europeo (Cinclus cinclus).
The main target was to photograph Common Crossbills, Common Crossbill and White-throated Dipper.

El tiempo fue muy bueno.
Weather was very good.

Some photos of the walk I took through the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. It is very beautiful.

First Bird I saw was this Carrion Crow.

Enseguida comenzamos a ver los primeros piquituertos comunes (Loxia curvirostra). En la foto un macho.
Soon we begin to watch the first Common Crossbill. In the photo a male.

Otro.
Another.

Hembra.
Female.

Joven.
Juvenile.

Another of the beauties that we wanted to photograph, the mountain greenfinch (Serinus citrinella). We saw several flock but I only took photos of the males.

Es una ave preciosa.
It is a beautiful Bird.

Y este en concreto muy manso.
And this one in particular very tame.

Había muchos carboneros garrapinos (Periparus ater).
There were many Coal Tit.

Había bastantes crocus de otoño (Colchicum autumnale).
There were quite a few Fall Crocuses.

El macho dominante era espectacular.
The dominant male was spectacular.

I saw a group of mountain goats

Flying over the area many Black Vultures were seen.

It was a shame that almost none passed very close.

And this one that passed closer but it was at  backlit.

There were also many Black Redstart. In the photo a female.

Cuervo grande (Corvus corax).
Common Raven.

Then we go down to the Lozoya River in search of the White-throated Dipper. The first thing I saw was this American Mink.

Vimos varios ejemplares de mirlo acuático europeo (Cinclus cinclus).
We saw several specimens of White-throated Dipper.

Algunos más confiados que otros.
Some more tame than others.

Este parecía estar preocupado por algo.
It seemed to be worried.

And immediately I could see the reason for its concern, another fearsome American Mink. It is on the right at the water's edge.

It was going in and out of water for a while until I lost sight of it.

The pair of  White-throated Dipper that were in the area did not dare to move.

After a while, they began their search for food again.

In the area there were also two pairs of Mallards. In the photo one of the males.

And in this other one of the females.

Otras pocas fotos más de esta belleza.
A few more photos of this beauty.

When you see this species in a river, it means that it has a good quality of water because the aquatic invertebrates on which it feeds cannot tolerate pollution.

Un milano real (Milvus milvus).
A Red Kite.

When we were about to leave the area we could still see another couple, although this time further away.

In the area where I left the car there were many Eurasian Siskin. As the trees that they were had still many leaves, I could only get this specimen. Anyway, I was very excited because they were the first I saw this fall.

When I was returning home I couldn't resist stopping and taking a picture of the moon that was awesome.
