Pajareando por Madrid. Birding Madrid.


Hola una vez más.
Hi again.

Esta vez os muestro algunas aves que pudimos ver en un viaje que por la mañana fuimos al Parque Regional del Sureste de Madrid y luego nos fuimos hasta la Mancha Húmeda.
This time I show you some Birds that we could see on a trip that in the morning we went to the Southeast Regional Park of Madrid and then we went to La Mancha Wetlands.

El tiempo fue muy bueno por la mañana pero por la tarde se nubló e hizo mucho viento.
The weather was very good in the morning but in the afternoon it became cloudy and very windy.

Vimos algunas tarabillas norteñas (Saxicola rubetra) que a mediados de septiembre están en paso migratorio por la Comunidad de Madrid.
We saw some Whinchat that in mid-September are migrating through the Community of Madrid.


Esta cogió una libélula.
This one took a Dragonfly.



Y se la comió.
And he ate it.

  

Había una pareja de patos colorados (Netta rufina). En la foto el macho.
There was a pair of Red-crested Pochard. In the photo the male.


Y en esta otra la hembra.
And in this other one the female.


Zampullín común (Tachybaptus ruficollis).
Little Grebe.



También había bastantes chorlitejos chicos (Charadrius dubius).
There were also many Little Ringed Plover.


Agachadizas comunes (Gallinago gallinago).
Common Snipes.


Otra más.
Another one.


Y una grata sorpresa al poder ver tan de cerca este águila pescadora (Pandion haliaetus) que también estaba en paso migratorio.
And a nice surprise to see so closely this Osprey that was also migrating.



Preciosa ave.
Beautiful Bird.




Y para finalizar con lo que fotografiamos en el Parque Regional del Sureste de Madrid esta garceta grande (Egretta alba) que no quiso salir de entre las altas hierbas.
And to end with what we photographed in the Southeast Regional Park of Madrid, this Great White Egret that did not want to leave tall grass.

Había muy pocos zampullines cuellinegros (Podiceps nigricollis).
There were very few Black-necked Grebes.


Había muchas malvasías cabeciblancas (Oxyura leucocephala).
There were many White-headed Ducks.


En todas las fotos aparecen hembras/jóvenes pues ningún macho adulto quiso acercarse donde estábamos.
All photos are of female / young as no adult male wanted to approach where we were.



Pero las tuvimos muy cerquita.
But we had them very close.




Vimos varios porrones pardos (Aythya nyroca). Este fue el único que conseguí fotografiar.
We saw several Ferruginous Ducks. This was the only one I managed to photograph.


En esta otra foto se puede apreciar el viento que hacía, pues había olas, y además se había nublado.
In this other photo you can appreciate the strong wind we had, because there were waves, and it had also become cloudy.


Pocas veces veo vuelvepiedras comunes (Arenaria interpresen estas lagunas.
I rarely see Turnstones in these lagoons.


Se trataba de un solo individuo juvenil.
It was a single juvenile.


Había bastantes zampullines comunes (Tachybaptus ruficollis). El de la foto es un joven.
There were quite a few Little Grebes. The one in the picture is a juvenile.


Y este otro un adulto en plumaje de invierno.
And this one an adult in winter plumage.


Ansar común (Anser anser).
Greylag Goose.


Había bastantes flamencos comunes (Phoenicopterus ruber). En la foto un adulto.
There were quite a few Greater Flamingos. In the photo an adult.


Fijaos en que tiene el pico muy rosa y el ojo amarillo.
Notice that it has a very pink beak and a yellow eye.



Sin embargo, este es un subadulto pues aun no tiene el pico tan rosa como los anteriores y el ojo menos amarillo.
However, this is a subadult because it still does not have the beak as pink as the previous ones and its yellow eye is less brilliant.



Y este es un joven de este año. Ojo negro y plumas barradas y no blancas.
And this is a Juvenile of this year. Black eye and barred feathers.



Los ánades azulones (Anas platyrhynchos) aún estaban en plumaje de eclipse. En la foto un macho.
Mallards were still in eclipse plumage.In the photo a male.


Y en esta otra una hembra.
And in this one a female.


Una focha común (Fulica atra).
A Common Coot.


Me gustan mucho los calamones comunes (Porphyrio porphyrio).
I really like the Purple Swamp-hen.


La combinación de los distintos tonos de azul, rojo y blanco la encuentro fascinante.
I find the combination of the different shades of blue, red and white is fascinating.



Vimos varios papamoscas grises (Muscicapa striata).
We saw several Spotted Flycatchers.


También los cucharas comunes (Espatula clypeata) continuaban en plumaje de eclipse. En la foto un macho.
Also Northern Shoveler continued in eclipse plumage. In the photo a male.


Juvenil de gallineta común (Gallinula chloropus).
Juvenile Moorhen.


Escribano triguero (Miliaria calandra).
Corn Bunting.


Había muchos gorriones y la mayoría eran morunos (Passer hispaniolensis) como el de la foto.
There were many sparrows and most were Spanish Sparrows like the one in the photo.


También había un grupo de unos 20 moritos comunes (Plegadis falcinellus).
There was also a group of about 20 Glossy Ibis.


Un combatiente (Philomachus pugnax) adulto en plumaje de invierno. Ya os dije en el blog anterior que si los quereis ver en plumaje nupcial no os perdáis nuestro próximo  viaje a Varanger y Finlandia del 15 al 24 de mayo.
An adult Ruff in winter plumage. I already told you in the previous blog that if you want to see them in bridal plumage, don't miss our next trip to Varanger and Finland from May 15 to 24.


Y los podréis ver así de bonitos.
And you can see them that beautiful.


Después de la cuña publicitaria, otro combatiente (Philomachus pugnax) pero este es un joven.
After the advertising another Ruff but this is a juvenile.


Vimos una pareja de cercetas comunes (Anas crecca).
We saw a pair of Common Teal.


Agachadizas común (Gallinago gallinago).
Common Snipe.


Había algunas agujas colinegras (Limosa limosa).
There were several Black-tailed Godwit.


También había bastantes  cigüeñuelas comunes (Himantopus himantopus). En la foto un macho.
There were also quite a few Black-winged Stilt. In the photo a male.


Este es un juvenil.
This is a juvenile.


Y cuando regresábamos a Madrid pudimos ver a este mochuelo europeo (Athene noctua) que salió de su escondite para despedirnos. Hasta pronto.
And when we were returning to Madrid we could watch this Little Owl that came out of his hiding place to say goodbye to us. See you soon.
