Hello again.
Este viaje estaba enfocado para observar y, si era posible, fotografiar a dos especies de aves, el alzacola rojizo (Erythropygia
galactotes) y el zarcero bereber(Hippolais
opaca). La época del año no es la mejor pues fue a principios del mes de julio.
This trip was focused to observe and, if possible, photograph two species of Birds, the Rufous-tailed
Scrub-robin and the Western Olivaceous
Warbler. The time of year is not the best because it was at the beginning of July.
El tiempo fue bueno aunque veces se nublaba.
The weather was good although sometimes was cloudy.

It took a long time to spot the Western Olivaceous
Warbler and this was the only photo I was able to take. Next year I will come back in May because at this time they will be less elusive.

Después de un rato de espera decidió salir y posarse en los cables.
After a while of waiting it decided to show up and land on the wires.
A mi me gustan más los jóvenes que los adultos pues sus colores son más vivos.
I like juveniles more than adults because their colors are brighter.
Aun andaba con sus padres adoptivos, una pareja de urracas (Pica pica).
It was still with his adoptive parents, a couple of Common Magpies.
Aunque ya habíamos visto alguno por la mañana no fue hasta la tarde cueado tuvimos más suerte y pudimos empezar a fotografiar a los alzacolas rijozos (Erythropygia
galactotes).
Although we had seen some during the morning it was not until the afternoon when we had more luck and we could start photographing the Rufous-tailed Scrub-robin.
Este ejemplar fue el que resulto más confiado.
This specimen was the one that was most tame.
Estaba realmente molesto con la anilla que le acababan de poner el día anterior según me contaros al publicar una foto suya en FaceBook.
Me explicaros que era un anillamiento a nivel nacional para intentar averiguar el declive que está teniendo esta especie. Me parece muy bien este tipo de estudios pero no entiendo porque se hace en plena época de reproducción cuando se puede hacer a su llegada.
El estrés que se ocasiona a estas aves durante la captura puede que haga, en el caso de ser hembra, que esta deserte el nido o la pérdida de los pulluelos por congelación.
He was really upset with the ring they had just put on him the day before, as some one told me when I posted a picture of him on FaceBook.
He explained that it was a ringing at a National level to try to find out the decline that this species is having. This type of studies seems very good to me, but I do not understand why it is done in the middle of the breeding period when it can be done upon arrival.
The stress that is caused to these birds during the capture may, in the case of being a female, cause the abandon of the nest or the loss of the chicks by freezing.
