En esta ocasión os muestro lo que pude fotografiar en la excursión que hicimos al Cerro de San Pedro y a el Puerto de La Morcuera el 11 de mayo.. 

This time I show you what I was able to photograph on the trip we made to Cerro de San Pedro and La Morcuera Pass.

El tiempo fue muy bueno y la temperatura muy agradable.

The weather was very good and the temperature very pleasant.

Pido disculpas por no poder poner en otro color la traducción al inglés pues la aplicación no me deja en esta ocasión. Espero que pronto lo pueda hacer en cuanto arreglen este problema.

Al poco tiempo de llegar al Cerro de San Pedro, pudimos contemplar varios ejemplares de alcaudón común (Lanius senator).

Shortly after arriving at Cerro de San Pedro, we were able to see several specimens of Woodchat Shrike.

También andaba por allí una hembra de escribano soteño (Emberiza cirlus).

A female Cirl Bunting was also there.

Algunos milanos reales (Milvus milvus) sobrevolaron la zona.

Some Red Kites flew over the area.

Pudimos contemplar muchas cogujadas montesinas (Galerida theklae).

We were able to spot many Thekla Lark.

Un par de helicópteros del Ejército de Tierra sobrevolaron el cerro.

A pair of Army helicopters flew over the hill.

Un macho de escribano montesino (Emberiza cia).

A male Rock Bunting.

También pudimos ver y escuchar el canto de la alondra totovía (Lullula arborea). Esta, estaba recogiendo material para la construcción de su nido.

We were also able to see and hear the song of the Wood Lark. This one, was collecting material for the construction of its nest.

También contemplamos una lejana collalba rubia (Oenanthe hispanica).

We also saw a distant Black-eared Wheatear.

Después de la visita al cerro de San Pedro, pusimos rumbo al cercano Puerto de La Morcuera. Creo que el ave que más cerca tuvimos en la excursión fue el escribano hortelano (Emberiza hortulana).

After visiting the San Pedro hill, we headed to the nearby Puerto de La Morcuera. I think the closest Bird we had on the excursion was the Ortolan Bunting.

Es una especie de ave que me gusta muchísimo.

It is a species of Bird that I like very much.

También tuvimos muy cerca al escribano montesino (Emberiza cia).

We also had the Rock Bunting very close.

Vimos varias lagartijas serranas (Iberolacerta monticola).

We spot several Iberian Rock Lizard.

Era la época de la floración de los narcisos silvestres (Narcissus assoanus).

It was the time of flowering of Rush-leaf Jonquil.

Tuvimos que subir un buen rato hacia la Cuerda Larga para poder contemplar a los roqueros rojos (Monticola saxatilis). En la foto un macho.

We had to climb for some time towards the Cuerda Larga to be able to spot Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush. In the photo a male.

Este otro un poco más cercano.

This one a little closer.

En la bajada del sitio donde andaban los roqueros rojos (Monticola saxatilis), vimos varios machos de collalba gris (Oenanthe oenanthe).

On the way down from the place where Rufous-tailed Rock Thrush were hanging out, we saw several male Northern Wheatear.

Y prestamos más atención a los abundantes acentores comunes (Prunella modularis), que hasta ese momento no les había fotografiado.

And we paid more attention to the abundant dunnocks (Prunella modularis), which until then I had not photographed.

Cuando se tiene un ave tan bonita y cerca como esta, no se puede dejar de hacer fotos aunque tengas ya muchas de otras ocasiones. Escribano Hortelano (Emberiza hortulana).

When you have a Bird as beautiful and close as this one, you can't stop taking photos even if you already have many of other trips.

Ya cerca de la furgoneta, vimos curruca zarcera (Sylvia communis).

Close to the van, we saw a Common Whitethroat.

Y par finalizar la excursión nos fuimos hasta un merendero de la chopera en el área recreativa Samburiel. Estaba llena de gente y por consiguiente menos aves que de costumbre. Lo más destacado fue un grupo de rabilargos ibéricos (Cyanopica kooki) del que pude sacar una foto a uno de ellos.

And to finish the excursion we went to a Poplar picnic area in the Samburiel Recreational Area. It was full of people and consequently fewer Birds than usual. The highlight was a group of Iberian Magpie of which I was able to take a photo of one of them.
