Francamente bonito.
Both for their houses, large ships and their gardens. Downright pretty.

As they are in the middle of the city, you have to wait in several places for bridges to go up to be able to pass with your boat.

The first night of the voyage was spent in a Harbour on the Bimini Islands, which is the westernmost district of the Bahamas.

The next route was fro Nassau to Allen Cay.

Fue una travesía maravillosa.
It was a wonderful journey.

On the way we discovered a cop, an Anolis Lizard. Since I didn't see many insects, I dedicated myself to hunting some flies to feed it.

This time it was time to sleep anchored in a cove as wonderful as this one.

Already from the boat I could see that this small beach was full of Iguanas.

My curiosity made me look on the internet for the species it was about. This is what Wikipedia says: Allen Cays rock iguana or Allen Cays iguana, is a subspecies of the northern Bahamian rock iguana that is found on Allen's Cay and adjacent islands in the Bahamas. Its status in the IUCN Red List is critically endangered. The population has been growing over the last century. Although it was considered extinct in 1916, there are as of 2018 at least 482 mature adult animals counted on two islands, Leaf Cay and U Cay, and a few hundred on at least five other nearby islands where they have recently spread to by unknown means (introduced by biologists in one case), as well as many juveniles.
Although this is a large lizard at 75cm, within one generation after some arrived on the small island of Allen's Cay, these iguanas grew to be twice as large here than those on other islands, which is believed to be due to the large amount of guano (bird droppings) this particular island receives. These particular giants have now been largely eliminated due to the actions of conservationists and a flawed plan to capture them and maintain them on another island, where they starved. Luckily the leading herpetologist was incorrect about the total amount iguanas on Allen's Cay, and those 'extra' lizards which evaded capture apparently survived their island being covered in rodenticide.
People often visit the two main islands which host the majority of the population, and the iguanas have come to expect to be fed by them, sometimes congregating on the beach in large numbers awaiting tourists. This lizard has a high tolerance for its conspecifics, unlike other Cyclura iguanas, which are usually territorial. Long ago (possibly) hunted by locals for its meat, the iguana now has another economic use, being of high importance for the ecotourism industry in this part of the Bahamas.

Me rodeaban constantemente y pude tomar muchas fotos.
I spent quite a bit of time watching them. I found them awesome and without any fear of man. I was constantly surrounded and I was able to take many photos.

Among the Iguanas was Northern curly-tailed lizard.

After returning to the beach of the cove to take a bath and say goodbye to the iguanas, we headed towards Staniel Key.

The boat tip was not very long and weather and sea were fantastic.

Staniel Cay.
Staniel Cay.

The marina where we spent the next two days. We had to do a lot of things on the boat and I didn't have time to go for a walk with the camera. I saw quite a few birds anyway when I went to the supermarket or to the laundry. I was surprised that in many of the islands we were, you had to pay to deposit the garbage. They charged you 6 euros for a small garbage bag and 15 euros for a large one.

There were many Nurse Sharks in the marina. Although they assured me they were friendly, I didn't get into the water because you never know if they have a bad day.

During the high tide, Turnstones sheltered in pontoons.

We left Staniel Cay in the direction of a cove in the northern part of Long Island where we spent the night anchored.

Al igual que el amanecer.
Just like the sunrise.

We still had two more days of sleeping anchored to reach Turks and Caicos Islands. It was the journey in which we saw many Dolphins.

Como prácticamente no tocábamos tierra no pude pajarear ningún día.
As we practically did not touch land, I could not birdwatching any day.

A journey with a calm sea and since there was not much depth, the color of the water was very beautiful.

This day the sea was a little worse than the previous days and it was more open sea.

Atravesamos algunas tormentas pero de poca importancia.
We went through some storms but of little importance.

I had a lot of fun with the Brown Booby.

One of them discovered that by flying close to the boat he could catch Flying Fish that would fly out of the water as we go.

Soon more arrived and at times we had 4 of them flying over and capturing the Flying Fish that were scared away while we were navigating.

Pasamos por lugares muy bonitos.
We went through very beautiful places.

In the afternoon storms increased but the sea was still good.

Otro bonito amanecer.
The cove where we spent the night was less protected than on other occasions. Another beautiful sunrise.

I spent a lot of time from the rail watching how Green Sea Turtle come up to breathe .

I saw many because the marina was in a channel that connected the sea with a very large salty lagoon. It was seen that they came to eat algae near the port.

Hacía mucho tiempo que no veía tortugas marinas y me hizo mucha ilusión ver tantas.
It had been a long time since I had seen Sea Turtles and I was very excited to see so many.

On the opposite side of the channel to where the marina was, was Manglar Cay.

Needlefish were also sought protection in the marina.
