Hello again.

Este año en nuestros viajes a Cabañeros incluimos un taller de fotografía. A este fin contratamos privadamente los servicios de la empresa concesionaria del Parque para poder introducirnos en el seno de la Raña y hacer más fácil la toma de fotografías.

This year in our trips to Cabaneros we included a photogrfia workshop. To this end, we hired in a private tour the services of the concessionaire company of the Park to be able to have acces to the heart of the Raña and make it easier to take photographs.

Hicimos dos viajes uno abierto para que se apuntase el que quisiera y otro privado para unos clientes que lo contrataron en exclusiva.
We made two trips, one open so that the one who wanted it could sign up and another private one for some clients who hired it exclusively.

Es impresionante ver la cantidad de ciervos que habitan en este lugar y por ello le llaman el Serengueti Español.

It's awesome to watch the number of Red Deers that inhabit this place and for that reason it's call the Spanish Serengeti.

El ruido de los berridos al amanecer y al atardecer son difíciles de describir. Han sido unos viajes inolvidables.

The sound of the rutting at dawn and dusk are difficult to describe. They have been unforgettable trips.

Espero que en las fotos que os muestro se pueda apreciar algo de lo que vivimos aunque debido a las altas temperaturas de este otoño la berrea estaba más activa durante la noche.

I hope that in the photos that I post you can appreciate something close of what we had lived although due to the high temperatures of this autumn, the bellowing developed more at night.

Lo primero de todo es presentaros al protagonista de la berrea, el ciervo común (Cervus elaphus).

First of all, introduce you to the protagonist of the rut, the Stag or Red Deer male.

He separado las dos visitas por sus fechas.

Antes de llegar al Parque Nacional de Cabañeros este pajizo de águila imperial ibérica (Aquila adalberti) nos hizo detenernos par poder observarlo.

Before reaching the National Park of Cabaneros this juvenile of Spanish Imperial Eagle made us stop to watch it.

En el Parque y hasta que llega la hora de entrar en La Raña, sobre las 5 de la tarde, visitamos distintos puntos de interés dentro del mismo. En él se pueden ver con facilidad buitres negros y leonados, águilas imperiales ibéricas, reales y con suerte perdiceras. en los dos viajes vimos las anteriormente mencionadas a excepción de las últimas. En la foto un buitre negro (Aegypius monachus).

In the Park and until it's time to enter La Raña, around 5 in the afternoon, we visit different points of interest within it. In it you can easily see Black and Griffon Vultures, Spanish Imperial, Golden and with luck Bonelli's Eagles. in the two trips we made we saw the aforementioned ones except for the last ones. In the photo a Black Vulture.

Águila real (Aquila chrysaetos).

Golden Eagle.

Vimos como esta águila imperial ibérica (Aquila adalberti) se lanzaba a por lo que luego vimos que era una paloma torcaz (Columba palumbus).

We saw how this Spanish Imperial Eagle made a dive to catched what we later saw that it was a Wood Pigeon.

Y había otra con ella.

And there was another with it.

Estas son algunas de las fotos que hice en La Raña. Las de los ciervos comunes (Cervus elaphus) no voy a hacer comentarios a no ser que crea que son necesarios.

These are some of the photos I made in La Raña. Those of the Red Deer I will not comment them unless I think they are necessary.

Este macho debió tener una gran pelea pues le faltan bastantes puntas en ambos cuernos.

This Stag must have had a great fight because he lacks many tips on both antlers.

Cernícalo vulgar (Falco tinnunculus).

Common Kestrel.

Esto es un zorro común (Vulpes vulpes) que no quiso asomarse más.

This is a Red Fox that did not want to look any further.

Había muchos escribanos trigueros (Miliaria calandra).

There were many Corn Bunting.

Al anochecer hacemos siempre una parada para oír la berrea y contemplar las hermosas puestas de sol.

At dusk we always stop to hear the rut and contemplate the beautiful sunsets.

El plan del día fue igual que el del día 6. Visita al Parque y después la visita privada.

The plan of the day was the same as the day 6. Visit the Park and then the private visit.

Joven de águila imperial ibérica (Aquila adalberti).

Juvenile of Spanish Imperial Eagle.

Águila real (Aquila chrysaetos) inmaduro.

Immature of Golden Eagle.

Hizo un tremendo picado en contra de este buitre leonado (Gyps fulvus).

It made a tremendous dive against this Griffon Vulture.

Hubo una carroñada pues vimos muchos buitres de ambas especies.

There was a carrion because we saw many Vultures of both species.

De nuevo en La Raña del Parque. Vimos bastantes ciervos comunes (Cervus elaphus) machos con las cuernas rotas.

Back in La Raña of the Park. We saw quite a few stags with broken antlers.

Un buen bareto.

Algunos machos zarandean las ramas de las encinas para tirar las bellotas.

Some Stags shake branches of Holm Oaks to throw acorns.

This was the Stag who belowing the most.
