En este caso os voy a enseñar algunas de las cosas vistas en un viaje al Parque Natural de la Sierra de Andújar durante la Semana Santa.

In this case I am going to show you some of the things seen on a trip I made to the Parque Natural de la Sierra de Andújar during Holy Week.

El tiempo fue demasiado caluroso pues al medio día había 31º C. Como iba con mi familia solo tuve oportunidad de ir al Parque una mañana. De todos modos tuve la suerte de observar bastantes aves rapaces si bien menos que el año pasado por estas mismas fechas.

The weather was too hot reaching at noon 31 ° c. As I was with my family I only had the chance to visit the Park just a morning. Anyway I was lucky enough to observe several raptors although less than last year at this same dates.

Aunque es uno de los mejores lugares de España para observar al escaso lince ibérico (Lynx pardinus) no tuve la suerte de poder disfrutar de esta maravillosa especie.

Although it's one of the best places in Spain to observe the scarce Iberian lynx I was not lucky enough to be able to enjoy this wonderful specie.

Espero que la próxima vez tenga más suerte.
I hope the next time will have better luck.

Verdecillo común (Serinus serinus).

European Serin.

Verderón común (Carduelis chloris).

Greenfinch. 

Las jaras pringosas (Cistus landanifer) estaban en flor.

Gum Rockroses were in bloom.

Y lo mismo ocurría con las jaras blancas (Cistus albidus).

And so did the Grey-leaved Cistus.

También había algunos lirios Españoles (Iris xiphium). Eran tan pequeños que tuve que tirarme al suelo para poder fotografiarlos.

There were also some Spanish irises. They were so small that I had to throw me to the ground to photograph them.

Que bonitos son.

What pretty they are.

Cernícalo vulgar (Falco tinnunculus).

Common Kestrel.

Chorlitejo chico (Charadrius dubius).

Little Ringed Plover.

No siempre es fácil sacar fotos a las aves. En ésta un escribano montesino (Emberiza cia).

It is not always easy to take pictures to Birds. In the photo a Rock Bunting.

Este otro escribano montesino (Emberiza cia) se portó mejor.

This other Rock Bunting was in a much better position.

Curruca rabilarga (Sylvia undata).

Dartford Warbler.

Golondrina dáurica (Hirundo daurica).

Red-rumped Swallow.

Sus nidos son inconfundibles.

Their nests are unmistakable.

Menos mal que la vi pues casi la piso. Una culebra viperina (Natrix maura).

Luckily I saw it because I almost trampled it.. Viperine Water Snake.

Buitre leonado (Gyps fulvus).

Griffon Vulture.

Buitre negro (Aegypius monachus).

Monk Vulture.

Águila imperial ibérica (Aquila adalberti).

Spanish Imperial Eagle.

Pude disfrutar de 4 ejemplares pero tardaron mucho en empezar a volar. También vi un águila real (Aquila chrysaetos) pero muy lejos para mi cámara.

I could enjoy 4 specimens but they start flying very late. I also saw a Golden Eagle but too far for my camera.

European Bee-eater.

Los cantuesos (Lavandula stoechas) estaban en plena floración.

The Spanish Lavenders were in full bloom.

Triguero (Miliaria calandra).

Corn Bunting.

Alcaudón común (Lanius senator).

Woodchat Shrike.

Rabilargo ibérico (Cyanopica cookii).

Azure-winged Magpie.

Bonito diseño.

Beautiful design.

Cuervos grandes (Corvus corax).

Common Ravens.

Alondra totovía (Lullula arborea).

Wood Lark.

Mito (Aegithalus caudatus).

Long-tailed Tit.

Vara de San José (Asphodelus albus).

White Asphodel.

La luna casi llena.

Almost full Moon.

Águila calzada (Aquila pennata) morfo oscura.

Dark morph Booted Eagle.

Otra de morfo clara.

Another of pale morph.

Y con esta lejana toma de una cigüeña negra (Ciconia nigra) me despido de todos vosotros hasta la siguiente entrada.
