In the following link you can see our next national and foreign Birds and Mammals photographic and observation trips. I hope you like them and I encourage you to come with me. An experience that you will not forget. These trips are conditioned to the situation in which the destinations are with respect to the coronavirus pandemic.

This time, I show you some photos that I was able to take yesterday on a trip I made to the Monfragüe National Park.

The main target, as on other occasions, was to take pictures of Vultures in flight, taken at the same level of the photographer. Of course, without neglecting the rest of Birds that can be observed and photographed in this wonderful place.

As you can see in the two photos below, weather was good but wind blew a lot in the morning which made Birds fly very high.

Common Chaffinch were already singing a lot. In the photo a male.

Las hembra son mucho menos coloridas.
Females are much less colorful.

Vultures began to fly earlier than usual because as it was windy they did not have to wait for thermal currents. In the photo a Back Vulture.

I was able to watch the pair of  Spanish Imperial Eagle that are in the Portilla del Tiétar.

Algunos buitres leonados (Gyps fulvus) estaban llevando ramas a sus nidos.
Some Griffon Vultures were carrying branches to their nests.

The first Egyptian Vulture I see this season.

And also, the first Black Stork.

Ya había varios nidos ocupados.
Several nests have already be taken.

A video made with an adapter to the terrestrial telescope and my cell phone. The original is a little better but Blogger does not allow to upload it whith the resolution that was recorded and I have to lower definition. .

The beauty of their plumage is best seen when they are in the sun.

Un macho de curruca capirotada (Sylvia atricapilla).
Blackcap male.

Me encantan los mitos (Aegithalus caudatus).
I love Long-tailed Tit.

Buitre leonado (Gyps fulvus).
Griffon Vulture.

Había varios machos de roquero solitario (Monticola solitarius).
There were several males Blue Rock Thrush.

Pero no vi ni una sola hembra.
But I didn't see a single female.

Alimoche común (Neophron percnopterus).
Egyptian Vulture.

Escribano montesino (Emberiza cia).
Rock Bunting.

It always strikes me how loudly Winter Wren can sing despite being so small.

Macho de colirrojo tizón (Phoenicurus ochruros).
Black Redstart male.

Hembra.
Female.

Un macho de curruca cabecinegra (Sylvia melanocephala).
A male of Sardinian Warbler.

These are the Vulture photos I wanted to take. In the photo a griffon vulture.

Algunas veces pasaban demasiado cerca.
Sometimes they passed too close.

Solo pasaron dos buitres negros (Aegypius monachus).
Only two Black Vultures passed.

Son realmente grandes.
They are really big.

I love seeing how little it costs them to fly.

On the way back to Madrid I made a stop to see if I could spot any Black-shouldered Kite. I was lucky and I was able to see this specimen very late and against the light.
