Pajareando por Castilla La Mancha, la Mancha Húmeda en primavera. Birding Castilla la Mancha, Wetlands in spring.

Hola una vez más.
Hi again.

In the following link you can see our next national and foreign Birds and Mammals photographic and observation trips. I hope you like them and I encourage you to come with me. An experience that you will not forget.

In this post I wanted to show you how our trips change in four visits made to La Mancha Húmeda between March and April. Three of them were a la carte and more focused on photography and the last one, although we were also able to photograph many Birds, a scheduled trip in which several people attended which makes the photography more difficult.

I apologize for sometimes putting so many photos of the same species but I think it is important that you see them from different angles to be able to recognize them better in the future.

In all our trips I try to choose the lights at their best so that both the photography and the sightings are the best possible and not just see a black spot between us and the sun.

The first of the trips I made on March 12. The day was good and it was not very windy. I always try to put meteorological conditions as they greatly influence the sighting and photography of Birds in freedom and without food conditioning or drinking troughs, etc.

On this trip the client did not want to see Steppe Birds so I decided to go to other areas and with more time in those that are repeated in the other trips.

These first photographs correspond to a client who had a 600mm canon lens, f 4 with a 1.4 III canon multiplier, which is equivalent to a focal length of 840mm. He unselfishly sent them to me if just in case I wanted to put them. In the photo a Bearded Reedling male.

Now I start with my photos that are always taken with a canon 400 mm, f 5.6 and a canon multiplier 1.4 III which is equivalent to a focal length of 560 mm.

It is a pity that in this lagoon there was a lot of evaporation and the photo is not as clear as I like but I decided to upload it because at this time of the year there are few Common Cranes left.

Los machos estaban muy encelados.
Males were very excited.

Y pudimos ver bastantes peleas.
And we could see quite a lot of fights.

On this trip the weather was not very good because at times it was cloudy and all day long it was very windy.

This Kentish Plover allowed us to take a good photo session although his female did not want to know anything about us.

I have made this video for those who want to see why it impressed me. In the pictures it does not seem as big as it was.

Chorlitejo chico.
Little Ringed Plover.

They did not yet have the nuptial plumage who they will acquire when they reach their breeding grounds in northern Atlantic Europe. This year on our international trip to the Province of Varanger we will have the opportunity to see them fighting and displaying.

A pity that was not closer.

On this trip the weather was very good.

Although I had planned not to take many photos because as you have seen I already had more than enough to make a post, in the end my  passion for nature photography won. Some of the birds that got very close were to blame.

It seems that the pair of Greylag Geese in which the male is leucistic has not been reproduced this year.

How I'm not going to photograph this Purple Swamp-hen. Impossible for me.
