Hello again.

En esta entrada os muestro una excursión de medio día al Valle del Lozoya. En este caso era de mañana.

In this post I show you a half day trip to the Valley of Lozoya. In this case it was in the morning.

Al llegar al Valle había una niebla alta que nos acompaño casi toda la mañana.

Upon arriving at the Valley there was fog above us which accompanied us almost all morning.

Aunque no teníamos mucho tiempo la mañana se nos dio muy bien y vimos muchas especies de aves de las que os muestro las que pude fotografiar. Sin lugar a dudas los protagonistas de esta excursión fueron los mirlos acuáticos europeos (Cinclus cinclus).

Although we did not have too much time the morning was great and we saw many species of Birds from which I show you what I could photograph. Undoubtedly the protagonists of this trip were the European Dippers.

En nuestra primer parada ya pudimos disfrutar de los mirlos acuáticos europeos (Cinclus cinclus).

In our first stop we could watch the European Dippers.

Una buena sorpresa, una hembra de camachuelo común (Pyrrhula pyrrhula). Son pocas las veces que veo esta especie en a Comunidad de Madrid.

A nice surprise, a female of Common Bullfinch. Few times I see this specie in the Community of Madrid.

El otoño estaba en pleno apogeo. En la foto un serbal común (Sorbus domestica).

Autumn was at its height. In the picture a European Rowan.

Y en esta otra unos álamos comunes (Populus alba).

And in this one a White Poplar.

Trepador azul (Sitta europaea).

European Nuthatch.

Agateador común (Certhia brachydactyla).

Short-toed Treecreeper.

Es la primera vez que veo a un herrerillo capuchino (Lophophanes cristatus) comiéndose una avispa.

It is the first time I see a Crested Tit eating a Wasp.

Zorzal charlo (Turdus viscivorus).

Mistle Thrush.

Por las margenes del Río Lozoya había bastantes mirlos acuáticos europeos (Cinclus cinclus).

On the banks of the River Lozoya it had quite a few European Dippers.

Y algunas lavanderas cascadeñas (Motacilla cinerea).

And a few Grey Wagtails.

Anade azulón hembra (Anas platyrhynchos).

Female of Mallard.

Lavandera blanca (Motacilla alba).

White Wagtail. 

Y otra vez el protagonista del día el mirlo acuático europeo (Cinclus cinclus).

And again the star of the day the European Dipper.

Me gustan mucho estas aves.

I like these birds very much.

Vimos dos picos menores (Dendrocopos minor). En la foto un macho.

We saw two Lesser Spotted Woodpeckers. In the photo a male.

Pico picapinos (Dendrocopos major) macho.

Male of Great Spotted Woodpecker.

Había muchos pinzones vulgares (Fringilla coelebs). En la foto una hembra.

There were many Chaffinches. In the picture a female.

Vimos un bando de más de 100 rabilargos ibéricos (Cyanopica cookii).

We saw a flock of more than 100 Azure-winged Magpies.

Preciosas vistas.

Beautiful views.

También había bastantes arrendajos (Garrulus glandarius) pero muy difíciles de fotografiar.

There were also many Eurasian Jay but very difficult to photograph.

Buitre negro (Aegypius monachus).

Monk Vulture.

Alcaudón real meridional (Lanius meridionalis).

Southern Grey Shrike.

Había bastantes levantameriendas (Colchicum autumnale).

There were many Autumn Crocus.

Corneja negra (Corvus corone).

Carrion Crow.
