First of all I want to thank you for your visits because I have already exceeded 300,000 visits to this blog. Thank you very much.

This time I show you the display of the Great Bustard that we observed during our trip to Villafáfila.

The weather was very good although there was some heat as you can see in the birds photographed.

The stars of this trip, as expected, were the males of the Great Bustards that at this time of the year are very beautiful and do not stop exhibiting.

Que orgullosos se pasean.
How proud they walk.

The same species in its dark phase.

At midday the refraction of the terrain makes it difficult to observe with the ground telescopes and the photos are not good.

Macho haciendo la rueda rodeado de hembras.
Male displaying surrounded by females.

Escribano triguero (Miliaria calandra).
Corn Bunting.

It always impresses me to see how well these heavy birds fly. The males can weigh up to 16 kilograms.

That afternoon there was a lot of movement of flocks of Great  Bustards and in some cases many of them as shown in this photo.

From five o'clock pm refraction begins to be smaller and we continue with the observations.

Also when the heat falls males become more active.

And to end I leave you with these photos of this beautiful male who did not mind that we were relatively close while Displaying. An unforgatable momment to see him with the terrestrial telescope.

Awesome to see the transformation made by males. No wonder they captivate females and humans as well.

Hasta pronto.
See you soon.
