Esta semana os enseño un viaje al Valle del Tietar para ver grullas comunes (Grus grus) que un cliente quería fotografiarlas.

This week I show you a trip to the Valle del Tietar to see common cranes (Grus grus) that a client wanted to photograph them.

Cuando llegamos había una niebla muy espesa que no levantó hasta la una de la tarde.

When we arrived there was a very thick fog that did not rise until one.

Las primeras fotos en la niebla. Un gavilán común (Accipiter nisus).

The first photos in the fog. An Eurasian Sparrowhawk.

Tarabilla europea (Saxicola rubicola).

Common Stonechat.

Avefría europea (Vanellus vanellus).

Northern Lapwing.

Bisbita pratense (Anthus pratensis).

Meadow Pipit.

Grulla común (Grus grus).

Common Crane.

Como ya os había dicho antes a eso de la una despejó la niebla y ya pudimos ver mejor a las aves. En esta foto se puede apreciar una cigüeña negra (Ciconia nigra) que, al igual que sus parientes las cigüeña blanca (Ciconia ciconia), cada año se quedan más a pasar el invierno. El otro ave del fondo es una garceta grande (Egretta alba).

As I told you before about one oclock fog cleared up and we could see the Birds better. In this photo you can see a Black Stork that like its relatives the White Stork every year they stay longer to spend the winter. The other bird in the background is a Great White Egret.

Estaba con su pareja.

Vimos muchas grullas comunes (Grus grus).

We saw many Common Cranes.

Un adulto con dos jóvenes.

An adult with two juveniles.

Y en esta otra una familia. Los padres con sus dos jóvenes.

And in this other a family. The parents with their two juveniles.

Zorzal charlo (Turdus viscivorus).

Mistle Thrush.

Un bonito macho de silbón europeo (Anas penelope).

A beautiful male of Eurasian Wigeon.

Cigüeñas blancas (Ciconia ciconia).

White Storks.

Macho de cuchara común (Anas clypeata).

Male of Northern Shoveler.

Un petirrojo europeo (Erithacus rubecula) muy osado.

A very daring European Robin.

Alcaudón real meridional (Lanius meridionalis).

Southern Grey Shrike.

Entre otras aves se puede ver una pareja gansos del Nilo (Alopochen aegyptiaca).

Among other Birds you can see a pair of Egyptian Geese.

Y más grullas comunes (Grus grus). Joven.

And some more Common Cranes. Juvenile.

Mochuelo europeo (Athene noctua).

Little Owl.

Esta urraca (Pica pica) estaba intentando comerse esta culebra.

This Common Magpie was trying to eat this snake.

También había muchas  avefrías europeas (Vanellus vanellus).

There were also many Northern Lapwing.

Bonitas aves.

Beautiful Birds.

Gorrión moruno (Passer hispaniolensis).

Spanish Sparrow.

Bisbita pratense (Anthus pratensis).

Meadow Pipit.

Y de camino a Madrid pasamos a ver si había sisones comunes (Tetrax tetrax). Había muchísimos y con ellos había también algunas gangas ibéricas (Pterocles alchata).

And on the way to Madrid we went to see if there were Little bustards. There were many and with them there were also some Pin-tailed Sandgrouses.

Impresionante. Es un verdadero placer contemplar estas concentraciones.

Awesome. It's a real pleasure to watch this huge flock.
