El lince ibérico. The Iberian Lynx.

Esta semana os muestro un viaje de cuatro días que hicimos a la Sierra de Andújar para ver al Lince Ibérico (Lynx pardinus) el felino más amenazado del mundo.
This week I show you a four-day trip we made to the Sierra de Andujar to see the Iberian Lynx the most threatened feline in the world.

El primer día pasamos por las lagunas Manchegas a ver aves relacionadas con este medio y los tres siguiente fueron en Andújar.
The first day we went through the Manchegas Lagoons to see Birds living in this environment and the next three were at Andújar.

El tiempo fue regular pues en el día dos y tres tuvimos niebla por la mañana y un poco de lluvia.
The weather was so so because on day two and three we had fog in the morning and some rain.


Antes de llegar a La Mancha  Húmeda estuvimos observando un grupo de avutardas comunes (Otis tarda).
Before reaching La Mancha Húmeda we were watching a flock of Great Bustards.


Ya en las Lagunas vimos muchas cigüeñas blancas (Ciconia ciconia).
Already in the Lagoons we saw many White Storks.




 Y varios calamones comunes (Porphyrio porphyrio).
And several Purple Swamp-hen.



Qué bonitas son estas aves.
How beautiful are these Birds.



Aguilucho lagunero occidental (Circus aeruginosus) hembra.
Female of Eurasian Marsh Harrier.


Macho.
Male.


Grullas comunes (Grus grus).
Common Cranes.


Avefría europea (Vanellus vanellus).
Northern Lapwing.


Un numeroso bando de Combatientes (Philomachus pugnax).
A large group of Ruffs.


Macho de malvasía cabeciblanca (Oxyura leucocephala).
Male of White-headed Duck.



Hembra.
Female.


Joven de gallineta común (Gallinula chloropus).
Juvenile of Moorhen.


Mosquitero común (Phylloscopus collybita).
Common Chiffchaff.



Macho de cuchara común (Anas clypeata).
Male of Northern Shoveler.



Hembra.
Female.


Zampullín común (Tachybaptus ruficollis).
Little Grebe.



Vimos solamente esta hembra de porrón pardo (Aythya nyroca).
We saw only this Ferruginous Duck female.


Focha común (Fulica atra).
Common Coot.


Hembra de porrón europeo (Aythya ferina). Los machos estaban más lejos.
Female of Common Pochard. Males were farther away.



Machos de tarron blancos (Tadorna tadorna).
Males of Common Shelducks.


El segundo pato que está en el tronco empezando por la izquierda es un macho de ánade rabudo (Anas acuta).
The second Duck that is in the trunk starting from the left is a male of Pintail.


Entre este grupo de combatientes vimos una aguja colinegra (Limosa limosa). Está dormida en el centro derecha de la imagen.
Among this group of Ruffs we saw a Black-tailed Godwit. It was sleeping in the center right of the image.


Había varios adultos de flamenco común (Phoenicopterus ruber).
There were several adults of Greater Flamingo.


Y también jóvenes.
And also juveniles.



Macho de cerceta común (Anas crecca).
Male of Common Teal.


Gaviota sombría (Larus fuscus).
Lesser Black-backed Gull.


Y después de ver este bando de ánsares comunes (Anser anser) nos fuimos a Andújar para pasar la noche.
And after seeing this flock of Greylag Geese we went to Andujar to spend the night.


De los tres días en Andújar en dos de ellos tuvimos suerte y vimos al lince ibérico (Lynx pardinus). La primera vez fue la mas cercana y estaba intentando cazar un conejo pero se le escapó.
Of the three days in Andujar in two of them we had luck and we saw the Iberian lynx. The first time was the closest and was trying to hunt a Rabbit but it escaped.

Vimos bastantes águilas imperiales ibéricas (Aquila adalberti).
We saw quite a few Spanish Imperial Eagles.



Majestuosas.
Majestic.


Nutria europea (Lutra lutra).
Eurasian Otter.



Me encantan estos mamíferos.
I love these mammals.

  

También vimos varios muflones  europeos (Ovis orientalis musimon).
We also saw several European mouflons.



Este fue el más grande de todos los vistos.
This was the biggest of all seen.


Macho de Picogordo (Coccothraustes coccothraustes).
Male of Hawfinch.


Garceta común (Egretta garzetta).
Little Egret.


Alondra totovía (Lullula arborea).
Wood Lark.


Mochuelo europeo (Athene noctua). Solo vimos este pero oímos muchísimos.
Little Owl. We only saw this one but we heard a lot.


Cormoranes grandes (Phalacrocorax carbo).
Great Cormorants.


Gorrión chillón (Petronia petronia).
Rock Sparrow.


Martín pescador común (Alcedo atthis).
Common Kingfisher.


Macho de roquero solitario (Monticola solitarius).
Male of Blue Rock Thrush.



Lavandera cascadeña (Motacilla cinerea).
Grey Wagtail.


Rabilargo ibérico (Cyanopica cooki).
Iberian Magpie.




Preciosas aves.
Beautiful Birds.




Mirlo común (Turdus merula).
Blackbird.


Vimos muchos ciervos comunes (Cervus elaphus). En la foto un macho.
We saw many Red Deer. In the photo a Stag.







Una hembra.
A Hint.


Toro de lidia.
Fighting Bull.


Vimos algunos gamos comunes (Dama dama). En la foto un macho.


We saw some common Fallow Deer. Pictured a Buck.



Aviones roqueros (Ptyonoprogne rupestris).
Crag Martins.


Algunas águilas reales (Aquila chrysaetos) estaban llevando ramas a sus nidos.
Some Golden Eagles were carrying branches to their nests.




El cuarto día disfrutamos durante mucho tiempo de este lince ibérico (Lynx pardinus).
On the fourth day we enjoyed this Iberian lynx for a long time.




Algunas veces cuesta mucho avistarlos.
Sometimes it's hard to see them.





Y con las últimas luces de un precioso atardecer y con la satisfacción de haber disfrutado con las especies observadas pusimos rumbo de regreso a Madrid.
And with the last lights of a beautiful sunset and with the satisfaction of having enjoyed the observed species, we headed back to Madrid.
