Esta vez os muestro algunas de las aves vistas en un viaje de dos días que tenia como principal objetivo observar el cortejo de la avutarda común (Otis tarda).
This time I show you some of the Birds seen on a two day trip that had as main objective to observe the display of the Great Bustards.

Otro de los grandes protagonistas del viaje fueron los búhos campestres (Asio flammeus). Vimos muchos y algunos realmente cerca.
Another major protagonists of the trip were the Short-eared Owls.

El tiempo fue muy bueno.
Weather was very good.



Cernícalo vulgar (Falco tinnunculus).
Common Kestrel.








Gorrión molinero (Passer montanus).
Eurasian Tree Sparrow.


Gorrión común (Passer domesticus).
House Sparrow.


Cernícalo primilla (Falco naumannimacho.
Male of Lesser Kestrel.

Chorlitejo chico (Charadrius dubius).
Little Ringed Plover.


Cogujada común (Galerida cristata).
Crested Lark.

Vimos un nido de búhos chicos (Asio otusque tenía 5 pollos. Los tres más grandes ya habían lo habían abandonado.
We saw a nest of Long-eared Owls that had 5 chicks. The oldests three of them had already left it.





Correlimos comunes (Calidris alpina) y correlimos zarapitines (Calidris ferruginea).
Dunlins and Curlew Sandpipers.


Chorlitejos grandes (Charadrius hiaticula).
Great Ringed Plover.


Espátulas comunes (Platalea leucorodia).
Eurasian Spoonbills.



Macho de ánade friso (Anas strepera).
Male of Gadwall.


Milano negro (Milvus migrans).
Black Kite.


Milano real (Milvus milvus).
Red Kite.


Macho subadulto de aguilucho cenizo (Circus pygargus).
Immature male of Montagu's Harrier.

Un ejemplar melánico.

Ahora se le ve mucho mejor.

En algunos momentos había hasta seis volando en la misma zona.
At times there were up to six flying in the same area.

Al medio día un zorro estaba en busca de ratones.
At noon a fox was looking for mices.

Una pareja de gangas ortegas (Pterocles orientalis). El macho en la derecha.

Pero sin duda lo más llamativo de todo fueron las avutardas comunes (Otis tarda).
But without doubt the most striking of all were the Great Bustards.


Es impresionante ver como se pavonean.
It is amazing to see how they strut.









Vimos muchos grupo de machos.
We saw many males groups.



Algunos muy numerosos.
Some very numerous.

Un macho y tres hembras. Se nota la diferencia de tamaño.
