BIRDING MADRID, SIERRA DE GUADARRAMA NATIONAL PARK.

Hola a todos una vez más.
Hello to all once again.

There is nothing that puts me more nervous that to have requests from clients to observe a particular specie. This time they asked to see the Citril Finches and to that end I decided to go to the Sierra del Guadarrama National Park.

The weather was pretty good until noon and then at the mountain became cloudy.

As it was close to our destiny I decided to make a briefly stop  at the Santillana Reservoir to see if we could see something interesting.

There was a couple of Ruddy Shelducks.

Preciosa ave.
And on the shores of the reservoir we could see some Red kites. Beautiful bird.

And suddenly we saw a large flock of the desired Citril Finches. I was relaxed.

Almost all of them were eating seeds from these plants.
